Xanthochromism

Xanthochromism is a form of albinism. A lack of pigment makes these animals light but not white. The yellow and red pigments are not affected, so brown and black animals look yellow, orange and red. “Xanthos” is the Greek word for “yellow”. Xanthochromism is only found in fish, amphibians, reptiles and birds.
