Ugliest Dog 2006: Archie
There was a scandal surrounding the contest in 2006. It was discovered that someone had hacked the website and deleted tens of thousands of votes to alter the result of the contest. The whole thing had to be started again from the beginning. The lucky winner: Archie. Described as a “hairless sausage”, he won to thunderous applause.
Ugliest Dog 2003-2005: Sam
In 2003, 2004 and 2005, blind Chinese Crested Sam won three times in a row. And there’s not much doubt he would have been able to win many more contests. He sadly died in November 2005.
Ugliest Dog 2002: Rascal
Rascal has no hair (by nature), apart from the Mohawk hair cut on his head. Warts adorn his body and since he has no teeth, he can not keep his tongue in the mouth. Rascal has even starred in four horror movies!
