The evarcha culicivora jumping spider is a real vampire spider! Where it lives in Kenya, it keeps its eyes out for mosquitoes that have just taken blood from humans. The spider “drills” into the mosquito and eats the blood. Its small hook-shaped fangs aren’t strong enough to break the skin of mammals or humans. A stroke of luck!
