Mandarin Duck

Who’d have thought that ducks can also be bright and colorful? In Germany, most ducks that you see have brown feathers and/or green necks. The plumage of the mandarin duck doesn’t just stand out in red, orange, green, blue and brown, but also shines with a metallic sheen. They mostly live on lakes surrounded by forests, and are mostly found in North-East China.
