Pale with fright?

The white-faced saki is also called the golden-faced saki because of the light colored fur on its face. Only the male sakis look like this. The females have brown faces. Probably so they’re harder to spot in the jungle. But let’s be serious: they’re not exactly cute. However, for saki ladies, there’s probably nothing more charming than a bright white face. Their fur isn’t white from birth - it’s brown for the first couple of months.
